On October 2, 2006, ground was broken for an $11 million dollar expansion to Hartsfield Village Retirement Community. Assisted Living at Hartsfield Village will be increased from 50 to 73 apartments.
The 23 new units will be both one and two bedrooms.
Simultaneously, this expansion project will include construction of an entirely new building. This new addition will be a Memory Support Residence for men and women with Alzheimer's or other memory disorders. Completion of the entire project is expected in October of 2007.
